A Twitter user, Vanessa Summers, has shared dozens of N-Gage game press kits on the social media platform. The kits contain promotional material and even game demos.
The leaked online press kits are for the following games:
According to Summers, the announcement serves as a reminder that these press kits have been available online for years, including on the archive.org website. However, it is the first time that so many have been made available in a single link.
The news also serves as a warning for N-Gage collectors, as there are many unscrupulous people selling these press kits as if they were “from that time,” when in reality, they are generally printed kits from just a few days ago.
About the N-Gage
The N-Gage was a portable gaming device released by Nokia in 2003. It combined features of a mobile phone and a game console, allowing users to play games anywhere.
Released to compete with the Game Boy Advance, the smartphone arrived late in the market and quickly became outdated compared to competitors like the Nintendo DS and PSP. Questionable design choices made the phone the subject of ridicule. Nokia attempted to address these problems by releasing an updated version of the N-Gage called the N-Gage QD in 2004. This version was smaller, lighter, and featured some improvements over the original model. However, the popularity of the device continued to be limited, and in 2005 Nokia decided to discontinue the N-Gage as a dedicated gaming platform.
