ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, has announced the transfer of publishing rights for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), Mobile Legends: Adventure (MLA), and Marvel Snap to Skystone Games for servers in the United States. The move follows restrictions imposed by the U.S. government on these titles, which returned to digital stores in January of this year.
Contrary to expectations, ByteDance did not sell MOONTON Games or its assets, but merely transferred publishing to Skystone, a California-based distributor known for single-player games like Undying and Land Above Sea Below.
The measure aims to ensure stability for North American players, who faced ban risks in 2024. A similar case happened in India, where the game returned as MOBA Legends 5v5.
And in Brazil?
For now, there is no impact on South American servers. MOONTON Games remains the official operator in the region.
