Roco Kingdom: World, the official sequel to the classic Chinese online game, began its second beta test on March 27. Developed by Tencent Magic Cube Studio, the game supports Android, iOS, and PC, with cross-platform data integration.
In the world of Roco Kingdom: World, players take on the role of young magic apprentices known as “little Rockers,” exploring the continent of Kalosia. This new test phase expands the number of available spirits from 227 to 351.
Each spirit has unique abilities and can be used in both PvE and PvP battles. In addition to the traditional competitive mode, the beta introduces the new Ranked Mode and the Casual Mode: Duel of Destiny.
The game also encourages social interaction with features like fishing, cooking, item gathering, and the ability to befriend other players. Players can ride mythical creatures and even unlock actions like “holding hands” or “hugging” their spirit companions.
Another highlight is the matching outfits between character and spirit: when wearing special costumes, players trigger unique animations, including special battle entry and victory scenes.
Unlike many games in the genre, Roco Kingdom: World does not feature gacha mechanics for spirits. All companions are obtained for free throughout the adventure, reinforcing the team’s commitment that “the spirits are the true protagonists.”
The studio implemented various improvements based on the first test phase feedback, including:
Additionally, the game now allows customization of interface background music with classic franchise tracks. A photo mode was also added to capture moments with friends and creatures.
The beta test is available for players with Android, iOS, or PC devices, but it’s currently limited to China. The client download is available directly from the official website. Players who register via WeGame or the website will receive exclusive rewards at the global launch.
